Word gen- pet renting

This is my dog, and as I said, she knows exactly where her food is.
My opinion of this week's word gen topic was that pet renting is pointless. People could rent pets and do pretty much anything they want with them, and those things may be abuse. Many people think pet renting is beneficial because people can test whether they are responsible for a pet or not. Well, you can't learn if you're responsible for a living being in a day or two. Plus, all dogs are different so you can't base your decision on this one experience. I am obviously with the con position on this topic. Dogs will be scared going from house to house frequently. When we debated, some people thought that dogs can't think or reason. I thought that was very untrue. My dog knows where all the food is in my house. All in all, I'm against pet renting, but it was kind of fun to debate about it.

Vocab Assignment

Exposition: The exposition is the part of a story that introduces the characters, setting, and the situation of the story. It also introduces the main conflicts.

Rising action: All the events leading up to the climax. The rising action usually introduces some more minor conflicts.

Climax: The climax of a story is where the main conflict is faced and resolved. In the case of Fiding Nemo, Nemo is reunited with his daddy. The climax doesn't always have to be happy.

Falling Action: The falling action is where the ending events of the story happens. It straightens out the minor problems and sums up the climax events.

Conclusion: The conclusion of a story is the end; it wraps up the story. It can tell you what may happen to the characters in the future. The conclusion ties up the loose ends of the story. The protagonists live happily ever after.
